Mundu is the traditional dress of men in Kerala. Mundu is regularly worn with shirt and jubba.
The lower piece of clothing Mundu could be a white cloth wrapped around the midsection.
Mundu features a border called Kara which can be of any colour.
Kara renders a fashion to the Mundu by showing it on the cleared out or right side of the individual. Kara can be weaved or enhanced with adornments for uncommon events.

Single Mundu
A single mundu is a piece of clothing which used to drape around the waist. The length is almost 2-2.5 Meter and the width will be 2 meters. Most of the men from Kerala used to wear single mundu in various traditional occasions and marriages.

Double Mundu
The double mundu is almost same as single mundu but the width of the mundu is double the width of a single mundu or else we can say single mundu is half of double mundu. Men in kerala used wear the mundu in auspicious functions and weddings.

Kalli Mundu (Checks Mundu)
- Kalli mundu is another type of mundu which have checks all over the material.
- Kerala man preferably wear kalli mundu(checks mundu) at home.
- As all of the mundu kalli mundu also worn around the waist.
- The color of kalli mundu will be white or off white and the checks in that are most of the time black- or blue-coloured lines.
- The length of the double mundu is 2-2.5 Meter and width is 4m.
- The border of the mundu is almost same as the color of its checks.
Kavi Mundu (Saffron Mundu)
- Kavi Mundu is a saffron colored mund item which men used to wear at home.
- The mundu material is always cotton.
- The border of the mundu is white in color most of the time.
- Most Kavi mundu (saffron mundu)having 2-2.5M length and 4M width.
Black Mundu
- Black Mundu is one of the familiar mundu kerala men used to wear.
- Previously the pilgrims of sabarimala used to wear black mund the time they sart the fasting to go to Sabarimala.
- Now the Black mundu is a common among youth.
- The black mundu combined with other colors such as red, The half portion of the mundu is black and the other half will be another color.
- This mundu material is always available in cotton.
- The border of the mundu is white in colour most of the time.
- Most Kavi mundu(Saffron Mundu) having 2-2.5Meter length and 4 Meter width.
Polyester Mundu
- Polyester mundu is same as that of Kasavu Mindu but the only difference is the material used in that is polyester.
- The length of Polyester mundu is 2-2.5 Meter and the Width is 4 Meter
- Polyester mundu is available in Off white and white color,
- The border of the mundu is most of the time gold in color but some of the borders are available in different colors.
Multicolour Mundu
- As per the name the multi colour Mundu colour varies from one other. According to the colour of the fabric the colour of the border will vary.
- The fabrics of Multi colour mundu is Cotton most of the time.
- The length of mundu is 2-2.5 Meter and the Width is 4 Meter.
- These are all the variety of Kerala traditional mundu.
